COUNCILLORS for City of Melbourne
Janette, Mary and Samantha believe residents must be at the heart of Council decision-making.
For too long, City of Melbourne council has put the needs of residents behind that of business and industry. Now is the time for equity! Melbourne’s best chance to emerge successfully and prosper into the future is to put residents at the heart of the rejuvenation.
Residents, public spaces and business can all flourish, if they are designed to work together.
Every first-preference vote for Residents First will go towards putting people at the centre of Melbourne’s recovery.
By putting Residents First, we will work together for the benefit of all.
Janette knows apartment living first-hand.
As Chair of her Owners Corporation, a writer on Vertical Living, and a researcher in energy efficiency, she brings hands-on experience in dealing with high-rise challenges like short stays, cladding and COVID-19.
Mary has two small children and understands urban family living and the need for community development. She advocates for supporting suburban economies across the municipality, better community services, more green spaces and Council collaboration with community.
Samantha brings youth-centred drive for people. A grateful Southbank apartment owner & local government employee, she sees first-hand the impact Council services and infrastructure have on city lives. Samantha advocates for mental health awareness and wishes to bring broader representation to the Council.
